Competitors Running Ads
The Opportunity: Northern Ontario is an underserved market. The big franchise window companies (Nordik, Verdun, Canadian Choice) stop at Barrie. Local competitors have weak-to-zero digital marketing. Nobody is running Facebook ads in this space in the North Bay/Sudbury/West Nipissing area. First mover advantage is massive. Reg just needs to show up.
01 The Three Power Angles
Every ad we run leans on one or more of these
Angle 1: Tariff Urgency (Time-Sensitive)
Loss Aversion + FOMO
Aluminum tariffs are real. Manufacturer price increases of 5-12% are confirmed. This is not a gimmick — it's a documented fact. "Lock in your price before March increases" is the most powerful weapon in our arsenal right now.
Why it works: People feel losses 2x more than gains. Paying more for the same windows next month HURTS.
Shelf life: This angle has a hard expiry. Use it aggressively now through March/April.
Proof: If Reg has a supplier letter showing the increase, that's gold. Screenshot it for the ad.
Angle 2: Local Trust (Evergreen)
In-Group Bias + Social Proof
Reg lives in Verner. He's been here 30 years. He's not a salesman from Toronto who drives up in a branded van, quotes you double, and disappears. He coaches hockey. He sleds. He's a neighbor. In Northern Ontario, this is everything.
Why it works: Northern Ontarians have strong tribal identity. "We're not from Toronto" is a differentiator.
The line: "Your money stays in your community. Reg lives 10 minutes away."
Shelf life: Evergreen. This angle never expires.
Angle 3: The Pain of Winter (Seasonal)
Loss Aversion + Status Quo Breaker
Right now, today, people in North Bay and Sudbury are sitting in their living rooms feeling cold air through their windows. The pain is PHYSICAL and DAILY. We don't need to manufacture it. We just name it.
Why it works: Pain-based messaging stops the scroll. It hits people in the body, not the brain.
The pivot: Lead with pain, follow with the fix, close with aspiration (warm, beautiful, lower bills).
Shelf life: Nov-March is peak. Then shift to curb appeal / summer comfort angles.
02 Windows — Facebook Ad Concepts
The bread and butter. Biggest pain point, biggest market, biggest opportunity.
Ad 1: "The Draft You Feel Is Money Leaving"
QC
Quality Contracting
🌐
That draft you feel every time you walk past the window?
That's not just cold air. That's money. Up to 35% of your home's heat goes straight through old windows. (Source: Natural Resources Canada)
Over one Northern Ontario winter, that's hundreds of dollars. Over 5 years of putting it off? You've spent more heating the outdoors than new windows would have cost.
We're Quality Contracting — 30 years right here in the North. Reg personally estimates every job. No salespeople. No pressure. No disappearing after the install.
⚠️ Heads up: Aluminum tariffs are pushing window prices up 5-12% starting in March. Current pricing won't last.

This isn't a sale. This is a heads-up.
New aluminum tariffs are hitting in March. Our window suppliers have already announced price increases of 5-12%.
Same windows. Higher price. That's just the reality.
If you've been thinking about replacing your windows, the math is simple: order now at today's price, install in the spring when it suits you. Your price is locked the moment you sign.
We're not going to pressure you — that's not how we operate. But we'd rather you hear it from us than find out the hard way in April.

We don't fly in from Toronto.
We don't send a salesman who's never scraped ice off a window.
We don't quote you double and disappear after the install.
Reg Piquette started Quality Contracting in Verner in 1996. 30 years later, same town, same phone number, same guy showing up to your door.
He personally estimates every job. No sales team. No pressure tactics. Just honest advice from someone who heats his home in the same -30 winters you do.
Windows. Doors. Siding. That's it. We don't try to be everything — we just do three things right.
Your neighbor's windows? Probably us. 📞 (705) 980-0895

Entry doors and patio doors. Security, curb appeal, and energy loss.
Ad 4: "Your Front Door Says Everything"

Your front door is the first thing people see. And the last thing keeping -30° on the other side.
If it's drafty, warped, or looks like it's from 1987 — it's costing you heat, curb appeal, and security.
We install Novatech and Masonite steel and fiberglass entry doors. Foam-core insulation (not hollow builder-grade). Multi-point locking. Compression weatherstripping. Built for Northern Ontario winters.
Financing available up to $100K through Financeit. Reg gives every quote personally — no salespeople, no pressure.

Ad 5: "Patio Door Season Is Coming"

In a few weeks you'll be sliding that patio door open for the first time this spring.
Is it going to glide? Or fight you like it does every year?
Old patio doors leak heat all winter and stick all summer. A new sliding or French patio door changes everything — smooth operation, proper insulation, and a view you actually enjoy looking through.
Order now before tariff-driven price increases hit in March. Install in the spring when it suits you.

04 Siding — Facebook Ad Concepts
Curb appeal, protection, and "your house looks tired."
Ad 6: "Your House Looks Tired"
QC
Quality Contracting
🌐
Faded. Cracked. Chalking. Dented.
Old siding doesn't just look bad — it's letting moisture behind your walls. And in Northern Ontario, moisture + freeze-thaw cycles = rot, mold, and structural damage you won't see until it's expensive.
New siding from Royal Building Products or Gentek doesn't just look better — it protects better. We install insulated vinyl with foam-backing for real R-value improvement. Full soffit, fascia, house wrap, and flashing systems. Done right.
Royal's warranty covers both product defects AND installation. That's rare. And Reg lives here to back it up.
Book before March to lock in current pricing before tariff increases. 📞 (705) 980-0895

Ad 7: "What's Behind Your Siding?"
QC
Quality Contracting
🌐
Here's something most siding companies won't tell you:
Before we put a single panel on your house, we inspect what's underneath. Rot. Wet insulation. Damaged sheathing. We find it and fix it FIRST.
Why? Because covering up damage with new siding is like putting makeup on a broken bone. It looks good for a while — then everything falls apart.
Quality Contracting has been doing this in Northern Ontario for 30 years. We do it right, or we don't do it.
Fewer jobs, done right > more jobs, done fast.

05 Facebook Ad Targeting
Who sees these ads and why
Audience Setup
Parameter
Setting
Location
50km radius around North Bay + 50km radius around Sudbury. Can also add Sturgeon Falls, Verner, West Nipissing.
Age
30-65+ (homeowners skew older)
Interests
Home improvement, Home renovation, Home ownership, DIY, Energy efficiency, HGTV, Home Depot, Lowes
Behaviors
Homeowners (Facebook has this targeting option)
Exclude
Renters, apartment dwellers, people under 25
Budget
$5/day to start = $150/month. Test 2-3 ads, kill losers after 5-7 days, scale winners.
Objective
Lead generation (Facebook lead form) OR traffic to qualitycontracting.ca/contact-us
The unfair advantage: Competitors in this market are NOT running Facebook ads. At $5/day, Reg will be the only window/door/siding company showing up in feeds across North Bay and Sudbury. In digital marketing, being first matters more than being loudest.
06 Image & Creative Strategy
What photos and visuals to use
Best Performing Creative for Home Services on Facebook
Before/After splits — #1 performer across the industry. Side-by-side transformation photos stop the scroll.
The problem close-up — Frosted window, condensation dripping, cracked siding, damaged frame. People see their own home.
Reg on the job — Real person, real site, real work. Not a stock photo. This builds trust instantly.
Completed projects with the homeowner — If any past customer will pose next to their new windows/door/siding, that's gold.
The "shocking reveal" — Photo of rot/damage found behind old siding or around old windows. People share these.
Action item for Reg: Start taking before/after photos of EVERY job from now on. Phone camera is fine. These become ad creative that costs nothing to produce and outperforms professional stock photography every time.

08 The Plan — What to Run and When
A simple rotation with $5/day
Week 1-2: Test Phase
Run Ad 1 (Draft/Money) and Ad 2 (Tariff Urgency) simultaneously
$2.50/day each
After 7 days, check which has more clicks/leads — kill the loser, give the winner the full $5
Week 3-4: Scale + Rotate
Keep the winning windows ad running
Add Ad 3 (Local Trust) or Ad 6 (Siding) as a second ad
Same test: 7 days, kill/keep
Ongoing: Monthly Rotation
Always have 1-2 ads running
Rotate in doors and siding ads to test demand for each service
The tariff urgency angle has a hard expiry — use it NOW through March/April
After tariff window passes, lean into Local Trust + seasonal angles
As before/after photos come in from jobs, swap in real project images
09 Bonus Angles to Test Later
Rotating in fresh creative keeps costs down and engagement up
"The $275/Month Window Upgrade"
Anchoring
Frame the investment as a monthly payment vs. monthly energy waste. "$275/month for windows that last 25 years. You're already losing $150/month in heat. Real cost? $125/month."
"Your Hydro Bill Is a Window Review"
Loss Aversion
"Pull out last month's hydro bill. See that number? Up to 35% of it is going straight through your old windows. We can show you exactly how much."
"Ask Your Neighbors"
Social Proof
"We've done 247 homes in the North Bay area. Chances are, someone on your street has our windows. Ask them." (Update number with real count.)
"Made in Ontario. Installed by Your Neighbor."
In-Group Bias
Hometech windows are manufactured in Vaughan, ON. Royal siding is Canadian. Lean into the "Made in Canada" pride — especially relevant with tariff/trade war sentiment.
10 What Reg Needs to Do
Keep it simple — Reg runs the business, we run the marketing
Reg's Checklist
#
Action
Why
1
Approve the ad copy + angles
We need his OK before anything goes live
2
Confirm we have Facebook page access
Ads run through the business page
3
Send 5-10 job photos (before/after if possible)
Real photos outperform stock 3:1
4
Confirm the "lock in pricing" offer
Can he actually hold current pricing for orders placed before March?
5
Answer the phone
Speed to lead wins. Leads are worthless if they hit voicemail for 3 days.
Budget reality: $5/day = $150/month. If these ads generate even 2 leads per week, and Reg closes 1 in 4, that's one new job per month. One window job at $10,000-$15,000 from $150 in ad spend. That's a 66:1 return. Even at half that, it's a no-brainer.
